Hi,
I am taking a friend from Oz to Manchester for a long weekend and would like some advice on good bars/pubs/clubs...we are over 30 so not looking for the latest dance venue necessarily, somewhere with live music or DJ that plays range of music? Is Canal street strictly gay or welcoming of straights also? Thanks Ozontour This message has been edited. Last edited by: Manc Rant, |

It's a tough one to answer really as sooooo many Manchester bars will suit you down to the ground. If it's a mix of music, you can't do much better than Lime or Mojo (both currently riding high in our Top 10 chart.
As for the Gay Village bars, nearly all are straight-friendly - so much so, many gays are kicking up a fuss their village is being taken over. The best straight-friendly gay bars are Velvet, Spirit and Tribeca. |
