Anyone know of any easy listening jazz bars or bars playing lounge music in Didsury or central Manchester other than Matt and Freds.

Only one that springs to mind is Manchester 235 who have live jazz from some top acts in luxurious surroundings almost every night. As it's also a casino you'll need to become a member though. Just take your passport, driving license or credit card (provided you're on the electoral roll) along with you.

As mentioned above, Matt and Phreds in the Northern Quarter is the only real jazz bar in town at the moment.

Manchester 235 have jazz on most nights, however they have live indie bands instead on Friday's, followed by a Northern Soul club night.

Choice in Castlefield is an excellent restaurant that has a separate piano lounge.
