Hi Caz

therz plenty of plAcz 2 chuse frm bt w/o knON how old U & yor fiance iz, it's quite hard 2 sA.

f hes in2 d lIkz of stOn @}--{--z, :-) mon.z & Inspiral Carpets 4 exmpl ther's a fair # of indie bars 2 chuse frm whilst f he's in2 quEn, Bon Jovi, Guns'n'Roses &... erm... Tiffany, thN ther's othRz we cn recommend.

Of corS f hes evN older thN dat, thN ther's som gr8 70's rock bars, 60's pop nytz & 50's rock'n'roll parties. Failing dat he mAbE mo @ om w d Halle Orchestra.

Which translates as...

There's plenty of places to choose from but without knowing how old you and your fiance is, it's quite hard to say.

If he's into the likes of Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and Inspiral Carpets for example there's a fair number of indie bars to choose from whilst if he's into Queen, Bon Jovi, Guns'n'Roses and... erm... Tiffany, then there's others we can recommend.

Of course if he's even older than that, then there's some great 70's rock bars, 60's pop nights and 50's rock'n'roll parties. Failing that he maybe more at home with the Halle Orchestra.

Let me know what he's into and I'll send a few suggestions your way.

Hi Caz

He can't go wrong with Mojo - a classic rock bar serving great cocktails. Currently riding high in our Top 10 best bars in Manchester list.

Lime is a great cocktail bar wth a basement club at weekends that's popular with the over 21's. They play a great mixture of classic rock, Madchester favourites and loads of cheesy 70's and 80's pop + The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and Razorlight etc.

FAB Cafe on Portland Street is popular with all ages - playing the best indie music, past and present, it's a dark basement bar with a science fiction theme. Not everyone's cup of tea but certainly popular with many unpretencious celebs.

South is a great nightclub playing classic rock and Madchester classics - popular with the young and... erm... not so young, they have loads of celeb DJ's that he'll recognise.

For more refined surroundings, get him to buy you a drink in one of the best cocktail bars in Manchester or one of Manchester's celebrity hang-outs
